Loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend Anthony De Albero, 77, of Lighthouse Hill passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 in his home. Affectionately known as Tony, he was loved by all who knew him. Born on November 22, 1947 in Coney Island, Brooklyn, Tony lived a life full of love, devotion, and kindness. He had a tremendously selfless, generous, and warm heart. He always went above and beyond for those he loved and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
To his wife Diane (Cuoccio), Tony was a loving and devoted husband for 54 years. He was predeceased by his dear mother Josephine De Albero (Scala), father Louis De Albero, and sister Carol Ann De Albero. A devoted family man, Tony’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his loved ones.
As a father to daughter Jodi De Albero, son Christian De Albero, and daughter-in-law Amanda De Albero, he offered endless love, guidance, support, encouragement, and affection. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Alexandra, John, Nicholas, Benjamin and Angelina to whom he was not only a poppy but also a source of laughter, joy, and an ever-present source of love. Tony was a truly great man and a remarkable gift to this world. He had a profound impact on the lives of those around him. His legacy of kindness, strength, loyalty, and his sense of humor will live on forever. We will all miss him immensely and dearly. Dear Diane, Jodi, Christian, Amanda and grandchildren: It is with great sadness that I send my condolences to you all. Tony was a wonderful man, husband and dad. Whenever I dropped in to see Diane he always spent a little time with me and we always found something to talk about. Just last month he was fiddling with his beloved VW "Bug" and told me he was fixing its electric. I know he will continue to fix another "BUG" and drive it "up there". Tony was especially appreciative that I admired his exceptional carpentry talents. He had "hands of gold" and could fix and build anything. I know he will be finding small projects "up there" and I know that he will continue to watch over you all and be ever present in your mind and heart. God took him "too soon" but anytime is too soon when we lose someone we love. May God grant him eternal peace and rest and may his memory be a blessing for you. May God give you strength to get through this difficult time. Wishing you comfort and peace, MaryJo Corso
